Red Bee, Marquis collaborate for Virgin Media TV compliance workflow

Red Bee Media builds bridges between content and viewers, providing technology and creative solutions to broadcasters, channels, content rights holders and brand owners.
Its UK HQ, which occupies a modern facility and broadcast centre in West London, has amassed a prestigious customer base including the BBC, Channel 4 and Virgin Media TV.
Red Bee Media provides a range of playout, asset management and promotional services
to VMTV. The two companies are linked via an advanced digital workflow infrastructure, enabling operators at both locations to exchange content quickly and easily, and work collaboratively in a highly efficient, file-based, end-to-end environment.

Red Bee Media uses Marquis' Medway software as an integrated element in the workflow infrastructure where it allows large HD originated media to move at full network speed between the various post-production applications in use. Media moves seamlessly without the delays that may otherwise arise from the differences in system file formats.
Medway also helps to manage media metadata, thereby minimising the manual input of data so that operators have more time for creative tasks.

Resources Media Management Roundtable

Over the past few years we have seen an enormous change in the relationship between the broadcast and gambling worlds. Regulation in Europe is now starting to change radically, presenting barriers and opportunities to existing or would be operators.

In the UK advertising gambling services have been permitted on TV for some time, and with the shift in Ofcom's licensing to recognise gambling as Teleshopping we now have clearer opportunity for broadcasters and gambling operators to work together to bring new transactional revenue generating content to TV audiences.

Geoff Wright, Associate of Marquis, featured in this latest discussion which examines the commercial, technical and regulatory developments together with the opportunities that both broadcasters and gambling service operators face today.
